Postcard Cabins: A Cozy Getaway That Just Hits Different

For our two-year anniversary, my boyfriend and I wanted to do something chill—nothing too crazy, just a nice little escape. We booked a Postcard Cabin and packed up our dogs, a projector, and some good food for a cozy weekend in the woods. No service, no distractions—just nature, a fire pit, and time to actually relax.

The Setup

The cabin itself was small but super cozy—minimal but had everything we needed. The bed? Insanely comfy. Like, the kind of bed you don’t want to get out of. Outside, there was a fire pit with wood ready to go, plus a s’mores kit, which was a nice touch. And the location? Right next to a river with a little waterfall. Waking up to that sound was unreal.

What We Did

Honestly, nothing crazy—and that was the best part. We cooked dinner, went on some walks by the river, and just enjoyed being in the moment. At night, we set up the projector inside the cabin and had a movie night while the dogs passed out next to us. The whole vibe was just low-key and perfect.

Why I’d Go Back

It’s easy to get stuck in the same routine—constantly on your phone, always around people, always moving. This was a nice change of pace. Just good company, good food, and a fire crackling outside. No rush, no pressure—just a solid reset.

Would 100% do it again. If you need a little escape, whether it’s solo, with your partner, or even a small group, this is the move.

Try It for Yourself & Save

If this sounds like your kind of getaway, I definitely recommend checking out Postcard Cabins. The setup is simple, the locations are beautiful, and it’s the perfect way to unplug for a bit.
